Kim Rody
Kim Rody is a native Floridian. Born in Hialeah and raised in Miami Shores, she has been swimming with fish for as long as she can remember. Kim became a divemaster in the late eighties, teaching SCUBA to hundreds of students who have remarked "she acts differently underwater".
She has degrees from Furman University in Greenville, SC and Texas A&M. Since enrolling in her first painting class in high school, Kim has continued painting over the past twenty-five years.
After being land-locked in Texas for 21 years, she moved "back home" in 2002 to new studio digs in Stuart, Florida where she brings fish to life with exciting color, paint and design. Living in South Florida not only provides fresh material and subjects for her paintings, but also allows easy commuting to the Bahamas where there is a large demand for her work.
