Keith Martin Johns
Keith paints regional art and has made a career of capturing the flavor of Florida with scenes of coastal landscapes, riverscapes and old Florida.   Being a third-generation Floridian and growing up in the state, he paints from a native's perspective.   He has successfully welded his memories of growing up in Florida with what Florida is today in his paintings.   His artwork depicts the beauty of nature and at the same time, lets you take a peak into a window of his past. Philosophical

Keith’s worldview is heavily depicted in his realistic works.  He calls this Creative Representational Realism and has taught this to many of his students.  Looking at a world of created order and intricate beauty is what he aims at discovering and disclosing in his works.  Both aspects of life and the natural result of death can be found in his work.  He believes that art and life are intertwined like cords of the same rope; they are not to be separated.  They are two great truths that he finds displayed in the natural world.

Cultural
As a third-generation Floridian, Keith is interested in capturing both the natural history and the cultural heritage of the state.
