Gallery Artist George Pali

Born in 1957 in Shkoder, Albania, George Pali was interested in music as a child but eventually abandoned it in favor of art. He received his BFA from the Institute of Arts in Albania in 1981. In 1988 Pali escaped from Albania for political and artistic freedom. He received a MFA from Michigan State University in 1991. Pali's paintings are known for their colorful palate, texture, and technical execution. His images weave music, his past, and his daily life into Albanian and American patterns and compositions. They are expressionistic, painterly, and inspirational.
